How to install the ZfdAgent through the Netware logon script:

Article:

1. Create a batch file called "agentinst.bat" (You can create it with notepad, just name the file agentinst.bat)

2. Inside the batch file place the following text:

@ECHO OFF msiexec.exe /i \\"Server Name"\SYS\Public\Zenworks\ZfDAgent\English\ZfDAgent.msi /qn EDITABLE_MT_ADDRESS=1 STARTUP_APPWINDOW=0 STARTUP_APPEXPLORER=0 PAUSE EXIT

3. Place the batch file in the same directory as the ZfDAgent.msi.

\\"Server Name"\SYS\Public\Zenworks\ZfDAgent\English\

4. Now go to the logon Script in NDS. (Open Netware Administrator "\\'Server Name'\SYS\Public\win32\NWadmn32.exe". Browse to the context you want to install the agent from. Right click the context and select details. On the right hand of that window select "Logon Script".

Inside the NDS Logon Script add the Following text:

IF PLATFORM = "WNT" THEN REGREAD "HKLM,SOFTWARE\Novell\Workstation Manager,Registration Agent" IF "%99" <> "zenwsreg.dll" THEN @\\"Server Name"\SYS\public\Zenworks\ZfDAgent\English\agentinst.bat ENDIF END

5. That's it. Save your changes and close NW Administrator. Logon to a workstation to test the script.

6. If the Zenworks Agent is not already installed on the Workstation the logon script will install it and reboot the PC. If the Zenworks Agent is already installed it will not attempt to install it again.
